Company Accountant

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full-Time 40 hours per week

Salary: £22,000 – £27,000 per annum

 

Job Description:

Duties include but not limited to the following:

  • Planning and overseeing implementation of accountancy system and policies.
  • Preparation of financial documents and reporting to management, shareholders, statutory or other bodies.
  • Develop and manage business accounts to increase sales of financial products.
  • Supervise and manage team effectively to complete operational activities.
  • Ensuring customer’s credit ratings to offer payment plans on credit terms and revising payment plans if necessary.
  • Audit accounts and bookkeeping records.
  • Preparation of tax returns, advises on tax problems and contest disputed claim before tax official, conduct financial investigations concerning insolvency, fraud, possible mergers, etc.
  • Evaluating financial information for management purposes.
  • Liaising with management and other professionals to compile budgets and other costs.
  • Preparation of periodic management accounts, budgetary reviews and financial forecasts.
  • Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns.
  • Conducting investigations and advises management on financial aspects of productivity, sales, and growing of new products etc.
  • Carrying out and supervising general accounting and administrative work.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will possess the following: A degree in Accounting and Finance or qualification of ACA, ACCA or CIMA, previous experience within an accountancy practice is essential, experience on SAGE 50 Accounts and QuickBooks, strong team leadership skills, multi-lingual and fluent in English, attention to detail and professional conduct.

Business Development Manager

Main area: Central London

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full Time 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 per annum inclusive

Job Description:

You will be working with individuals, business owners and personal clients to help manage and structure their personal and business affairs in a tax-effective manner. You will advise clients as necessary to mitigate tax risk, comply effectively with tax laws and take into account the prospect of change. You will assist clients in meeting the complex demands for UK tax reporting, compliance, planning and strategy.

  • To contribute to the efficient and successful delivery of tax services to the client
  • Build and maintain tax relationships with clients and provide high levels of client service
  • Build relationships both within the firm and externally with clients, identifying opportunities and managing expectations
  • Assisting the Director, and other Partners, with the successful delivery of projects, ensuring technical excellence and practical/business driven approach taken
  • Responsible for day-to-day client liaison
  • Maintaining a portfolio of private clients, ensuring that all aspects of their affairs are dealt with accurately and timely.
  • Assisting clients with their wider tax compliance obligations

Requirements:

The successful candidate will possess the following: Extensive experience in a senior Professional Services/Accountancy BD and Marketing role, strong team leadership skills, able to demonstrate developing a range of people at different seniority.

Assistant Accountant

Main area: London

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Part Time 24 hours per week

Salary: £17,000 – £20,000 per annum inclusive (pro rata)

 

Job Description:

Duties include but not limited to the following:

  • Daily Sales reconciliation
  • Reconciling bank, cash, and credit cards.
  • Manage credit control,
  • Managing Supplier Payments
  • Manage DD mandates, and recording incoming payments
  • Managing the retro claim process
  • Posting year end journals
  • Posting opening balances

Requirements:

The successful candidate will possess the following: Accounting background, ideally a Bachelors in Accounting and Finance and AAT, able to communicate with staff at all levels, maintain your own work load, excellent organisational skills, the ability to confidently and professionally liaise with individuals on the phone and face-to-face, a keen eye for detail and precision, accountancy practice experience is desirable, experience with working with Sage Line 50.
